our mission: why we do what we do
MIG was founded with a clear mission: to bridge the gap between the limited supply and increasing demand for sign language interpreters in the Bay Area and beyond. We empower interpreters and clients alike, redefining industry dynamics.
In an environment challenged by interpreter shortages, MIG excels with our extensive interpreter network and innovative approach. We ensure all assignments are filled by providing appealing terms and competitive rates for both clients and interpreters.
We aim to foster a market where independent interpreters’ business practices are respected, drawing in more professionals to ensure no jobs go unfilled. Unlike traditional agencies, we refrain from imposing non-compete clauses and instead actively support interpreters in building their own businesses to meet the growing demand for accessibility.
MIG is your partner in reshaping the sign language interpreting landscape. Join us in building a stronger, more accessible future, wherever you are.
our logo
Our logo journey began with the sign for INTERPRET, a clear representation of our ASL interpreting services. However, our vision extends beyond mere interpretation. Our goal is to CONNECT and UNITE individuals, which is why we integrated these ASL signs into our design as well. The dynamic motion of the hands within our logo also signifies our commitment to constant adaptation and evolution, ensuring that our services remain aligned with the ever-changing needs of our clients and interpreters.
Notice the presence of three hands instead of two in our logo; this reflects our role in fostering unity among our clients:
The 3 hands at the interpreting assignment:
DHH clients that use ASL
Hearing clients that don't know ASL
The interpreter bridging the language and cultural gaps
The 3 hands when coordinating interpreters:
The requestor looking for interpreters
Interpreters looking for assignments
